The front of the house. The house isn't really tilted; I'm not the best photographer in the world. (Probably not even the worst ... there might be one or two guys who do worse than me.) |
Wow! Speaking of great photographs, huh? This is the entry hall to the house ... not much to see, but I did want to give you some idea of the layout. As you walk in the front door, the stairs to the second level are to your right. Further down the hall, a turn to the right brings you to the two lower bedrooms. And to the left, you have a nice cozy family room or playroom or whatever ... but it's nothing compared to the game room we're gonna see upstairs! But, that comes later; for now, we'll make a left into what I'll call the playroom. Oh .. .before we leave the hall ... note the nice new hardwood floors. You're gonna LOVE the way this house has been totally redone, just to make it great for you! |
Here's a corner of the playroom downstairs. I could show you the other corners, too, but they look remarkably like corners, too. But there are a few things I want you to notice in this room: the nice looking paneling, the brand new texture carpet, and two windows! This house has LOTS of light ... we're gonna see several rooms with windows on two sides. If you're a sun worshipper, you're gonna love this house! |
Behind the playroom is a utility room ... here we are peering through the door from the playroom into the utility room. You can see one of your two bonus refrigerators ... a total of THREE in the house (one brand new one in the kitchen, and two others in strategic locations for liquid entertaining or convenient food storage). If you don't do liquid entertaining or need to store lots of food, we can haul away either one or both of the bonus refrigerators to give you more space. The security control panel you see on the wall is non-functional, by the way ... it was left by a prior tenant. We may take it down if it doesn't leave too much of a mess on the paneling. |
Gee ... this looks pretty exciting ... your basic utility room. Observe that the furnace looks pretty new ... the house has economical and WARM gas forced air heat. Now that spring is coming, you won't really appreciate it (although there is central air, too, of course), but you'll REALLY enjoy how warm you'll stay in the winter. |
This isn't the classiest picture around, but I did want to show you that you have a sink in the utility room. It's not a fancy bar-type sink, but, if you do use the playroom for liquid entertaining, you might find it handy to have this sink right here. Your real entertainment room, though, will probably be the ENORMOUS upstairs game room, which we'll get to soon enough. |
I can't believe how much time we're spending in the utility room! But, I did want to show you the back door here ... the perfect way to bring pets in and out when they might have muddy feet and you don't want them tracking stuff on your nice clean carpet. Remember, we allow pets without any additional security deposit! And having your own yard for them is a great bonus! By the way, you cannot have my nice folding ladder, I'll be taking that with me when I clear the house out for you. |
Now I've come back out of the utility room, through the playroom, and am headed down the hall to the two downstairs bedrooms. This probably isn't the most exciting photograph I could put in here, but I did want to make the geography of the house clear. The door knob on the right goes to under stair storage, which we're going to see next. The door straight ahead goes to a linen closet, which we're going to check out after that. You can see the lower back bedroom ahead on the left, and the lower front bedroom is ahead to the right (not visible in this picture). The bathroom is ahead and to the left. Of course, we'll be visiting all these rooms soon. It is tough to make up names for each bedroom in a 4 bedroom house! Lower back ... lower front ... good golly ... I sure hope these are enough bedrooms for you! Again, you should notice the brand new hardware floors in the hall and the brand new texture carpet in the bedrooms ... there is SO MUCH that's brand new in this house! |
Look at all this space for storage under the stairs! I may even leave you the baby gate you see here ... if you need it for a child or a pet. In general, there's LOTS of stuff that's been left in the house ... you can talk to me about whether you'd like it or not. Some stuff I'll be taking, but most stuff can stay if you want. Or, I can haul it all away ... your choice. I may forget to mention specific items ... if there's something (or lots of things) you specifically want, or don't want, make sure that you discuss them with me, so I'll leave them for you or haul them out, as you desire. |
As promised, here's the lower level linen closet. This will come in REAL handy with the bathroom just to the left, which can't be seen in this picture. You can clearly see, though, where the two lower bedrooms come off the hall. |
The lower front bedroom, looking at its right-rear corner, which has a nice closet with bifold doors. The room has new Berber carpet throughout. The room has two windows. |
A view of the downstairs bathroom, which has a new tub surround, new sliding glass doors, new anti-scald diverter, and new 4-bulb lightbar. |
Downstairs bathroom, showing the auxiliary storage cabinet, providing storage in addition to the space beneath the vanity and the nearby hall linen closet. |
|
Looking from the lower stair landing to the upper landing. From the upper landing, a right turn takes you to the two upstairs bedrooms and the upstairs bathroom; a sharp left delivers you to the living room, while a 45 degree left jog heads you into the updated kitchen. |
The living room as seen from the upper landing. The two couches have been recently cleaned. Not new furniture, but very serviceable for everyday use, and yours to use if you want, or I will haul it away if you have your own. |
The living room, looking back toward the stairs. Notice the nice built-in bookcase, suitable for books, DVDs, etc. |
A partial view of the dining room as seen from the living room looking toward the rear of the house. The room in the far distance is the upstairs game or entertainment room. Note the all-new one foot square tiles on the dining room floor, and the extra refrigerator, suitable for providing chilled refreshments to users of the game room or dining room. The round table is yours to use or I can remove it if desired. |
Another view of the dining room, showing its other half. |
A partial view of the kitchen, as seen from the dining room. New Hi-max (corian-like) countertops, all new sink, faucet, all new cabinets, and fairly new dishwasher in good operating condition. Note the pass-through window above the sink that opens into the game room. |
Another view of the kitchen showing the gas oven/stove, new microwave above (with powered exhaust with external vent) and brand new, never-used refrigerator. |
The rear of the kitchen, seen from the door into the living room. The back wall of the game room is visible through the window above the sink. |
Left wall of kitchen, as seen from the vicinity of the sink. Lots of good storage, both in floor cabinets, with a countertop, and wall cabinets. Note handy electrical and telephone outlets, as well as ventilation duct to keep you cool when cooking in the summer... |
Yet another kitchen view, showing the new microwave with exhaust and the new ceiling-high wall cabinets. Note the two courses of tile that completely surround all countertops serving as good splash protection for the wall. |
View of kitchen, over the sink and through the window, showing the door to the cedar closet in the game room. The kitchen comes with a complementary (introductory only) supply of cleaners, dishwasher detergent, etc., to get you started immediately, all stored underneath the sink. |
The upstairs game/entertainment room, roughly 20' by 20', with a fully functional pool table, which can be left for you to use, or removed if you don't want it. Note the sliding glass door, hidden behind a vertical-slat blind; it opens onto a deck having a wrought-iron table and a grill, all for you to use or not as you please. Also in the back yard is a large shed, containing a lawnmower for your use in maintaining the lawn. There is a green lazy-boy chair in the right rear corner of the room, just visible. |
Left side of game room, showing two convertible couches (each folds out to make a bed) that have recently been cleaned. They are for your use, or can be removed if you don't want them. |
A view of the cedar chip-board closet in the game room. Fairly large. Contains three working microwave ovens for your use, or can be removed. An excellent overflow storage area. |
A view of the laundry room, located off of the game room. It lies to the right when you are looking at the cedar closet from the game room. Fully functional washer and electric dryer, vented to the outside. The room has a fair amount of handy shelving, on which may be found an introductory supply of laundry detergent, etc. |
A view of the pantry, accessible from the laundry room. The kitchen has an enormous amount of cabinetry for storage, but if you still need more, this is it. This is the basic supply of utensils, dishware, etc. that you can use, or I will haul it all away if you so desire. It was moved to the pantry when the kitchen was being completely rebuilt last Autumn. |
The upstairs main linen closet as seen from the top-of-the-stairs landing. Note the opening on the left to the upstairs rear bedroom, which is currently outfitted with bare hardwood floors. |
Upstairs front bedroom, looking toward the rear right corner, showing the closet with bifold doors. There are two windows in this bedroom, and recently cleaned wall-to-wall carpeting. |
The upstairs cleaning-supply or auxiliary linen closet, seen looking from upstairs rear bedroom toward the living room. |
